Project Anker would be sited near pipelines to potential customers in the steel, chemicals and copper industries.

Anker will be built in two 400MW stages in the municipality of Sande, close to the deepwater port of Wilhelmshaven, and will ultimately produce around 80,000 tonnes of H₂ per year.
