12 May 2026Development Agreement to establish a liquefied hydrogen supply chain to Europe via the Port of Hamburg. The three companies are targeting a commercial start by the early 2030s and signed the deal at the Hamburg Port Anniversary festival.
The agreement builds on an existing Japan-Germany hydrogen MoU between the partners. Kawasaki will contribute hydrogen liquefiers, LH2 storage tanks and LH2 carrier ships; MB Energy will provide trading, logistics and service station conversions; Daimler Truck will supply the heavy-duty hydrogen trucks.
