French utility Engie SA (EPA:ENGI) and Denmark’s European Energy said today they have teamed up to advance the development of an up to 150-MW project to produce green hydrogen in Denmark and supply industrial and mobility demand in Germany.

The project near Kassø, in Aabenraa municipality, was originated by European Energy and recently won subsidies in a German hydrogen auction under the European Hydrogen Bank (EHB). The cooperation with Engie will set up a framework for advancing the project during the next stages of its development, including technical studies and work related to hydrogen transport.
