Hydrogen Europe is very pleased to invite you to its  “Hydrogen Talk” event series covering the topic: 20 mt of renewable hydrogen by 2030- Turning the REPowerEU plan into action! Join us on Wednesday, 25 May, at 15:00 CEST for this 90min long webinar.

The REPowerEU communication presented by the European Commission on 8 March sets out the objective of delivering 20 mt of renewable hydrogen by 2030 through the H2 Accelerator (a separate pillar within the communication). The proposal includes an additional 14.4 mt of renewable hydrogen on top of the 5.6 mt foreseen under the Fit for 55 legislative package with 10 mt produced domestically and 10 mt of imports. Such ambitious volumes will lay the basis for a hydrogen market and infrastructure and make the EU 25-50 bcm less dependent on Russian gas.

A great deal of political support in terms of funding as well as regulatory framework will be essential to achieve this target. The webinar will bring together stakeholders from the entire hydrogen value from production to consumption as well as policy makers. The speakers will address the opportunities and challenges of ambitious renewable hydrogen targets, the level of necessary support and the needed developments in terms of demand and infrastructure.
