EU H2 Bank – Ensuring effective allocation of support in upcoming auctions
28 May 2026The first electrolysers have arrived at Air Liquide’s 200MW Elygator green hydrogen project in the Port of Rotterdam, as the industrial gas major plans to bring the plant online by 2027.
The PEM electrolysers, manufactured under a joint venture between the French gas major and technology firm Siemens Energy, will produce 23,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year.
Hydrogen produced by Elygator will be supplied to oil and gas major TotalEnergies’ Antwerp refinery through Air Liquide’s existing hydrogen pipelines. It will displace some of the grey hydrogen used at the site.
