Public consultation runs until June 10, aiming to align with RED III and boost hydrogen’s market competitiveness through carbon intensity reduction incentives. France has officially opened public consultation on its long-awaited IRICC mechanism, which will replace the current TIRUERT system from 2026.
The shift aims to bring national policy into alignment with Europe’s RED III directive, placing hydrogen at the core of transport decarbonisation alongside other renewable fuels.
The public consultation will remain open until 10 June 2025, with a webinar scheduled for 20 May to present the draft plan in detail.
