The second issue of the 2023 Hydrogen Europe Quarterly magazine is out. This issue follows an intense period of legislative progress. We finally have the building blocks of our hydrogen economy, but our work is not yet over!

The magazine is packed with fascinating insight and interviews courtesy of our members. Our lead story examines the pros and cons of the famous Net-Zero Industry (NZIA) and Critical Raw Materials (CRMA) acts, as well as the funding opportunities and challenges for hydrogen stakeholders, both small and large. To help us in this task, we spoke to Sunfire GmbH’s Nils Aldag, Agfa’s Pascal Juery, cellcentric GmbH & Co. KG’s Prof. Dr. Christian Mohrdieck and Heraeus’ Philipp Walter.

Meanwhile, we are honoured to have been able to interview a long-time friend of hydrogen, European Commission Executive Vice President Frans Timmermans. We are proud to highlight the work of Johnson Matthey in our member spotlight courtesy of an interview with Mark Wilson, the company’s CEO of Hydrogen Technologies. Our regional and national association member spotlights the great work of Hydrogen Poland and Zentrum Wasserstoff.Bayern (H2.B).
