FORTH/ICEHT - Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas/ Institiue of Chemical Engineering Sciences

The Foundation for Research and Technology, Hellas (FORTH), established in 1983, is one of the largest research centers in Greece with well-organized facilities, highly qualified personnel and a reputation as a top-level research foundation worldwide. FORTH comprises six Research Institutes and ICE-HT is one them. Specifically ICE-HT is a world-leading centre for the advancement of high quality scientific knowledge in the fields of chemical engineering sciences. Currently, ICE-HT runs ca 46 RTD projects in cooperation with numerous industrial enterprises, universities and research institutes from Greece as well as from other EU-member countries, USA, etc. These projects are funded by national and EU competitive R&D programs, and also directly by industry. The research activities of the Institute extend along three main axes: (i) Nanotechnology/Advanced Materials; (ii) Energy/Environment; (iii) Biosciences/Biotechnology.
