Job description

Here at Cummins we are developing industry leading hydrogen technologies for global clients, and we are looking for an Inside Sales Representative to grow our presence within the market. The role will be based in Oevel, Belgium.

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:

  • Required to answer complex, escalated internal and sales customer enquiries so that enquiries are dealt with accurately and promptly, per company guidelines.
  • Analyse customer enquiries to identify recurring user problems and recommend solutions. Provide additional support to more complex accounts or for customer questions requiring extensive research.
  • Offer sales support for Cummins products and/or services throughout the sales cycle and provide support for more complex customer accounts, that require adaptation of response or extensive research. Independently develop and capture opportunities for additional sales.
  • Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert these opportunities into sales.
  • Maintain accurate sales entry, reporting and forecasting through utilization of Cummins tools and processes (e.g., Cummins Sales Process, Customer Relationship Management systems).
  • Assure good communication and coordination across the Sales function and other departments in support of customer satisfaction, sales goals, and Cummins culture goals.
  • Plan, prioritizes, and schedule Inside Sales activities and resources to ensure continuity of service. Mentor and develop Inside Sales staff to ensure that sales support targets are met.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • University or college degree in the field of Engineering, or an acceptable combination of education and experience required.
  • Demonstrable experience in a technical sales role – ideally within power generation industries.
  • English Language skills are essential. Additional language skills: German, French or Dutch would be beneficial.
  • Commercially aware with a genuine passion for the industry and the brand, growing the market share and increasing Cummins presence.
