FBK is a research institution devoted to excellence in research in numerous disciplines and it is designated to the role of keeping the Autonomous Province of Trento in the mainstream of European and international research.
The Centre on Sustainable Energy is expanding its facilities and laboratories in Rovereto through different initiatives. For the management of these new laboratories, the SE Centre is looking for a motivated candidate interested in working in a strongly dynamic and multicultural environment at the forefront of scientific research.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the management of the SE Centre facilities — including the BET and HYRES units, as well as shared areas such as the chemical, mechanical, and electrical facilities — ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
The main responsibilities will focus on:
- Safety:developing and supporting SE Centre personnel in defining and implementing safety processes, with strong involvement in risk assessment activities in collaboration with the RSPP (Health and Safety Officer).
- Quality:developing and maintaining internal processes in compliance with ISO 9001 standards for the activities carried out within the SE Centre.
- Operational management:overseeing the internal tool for laboratory operations (equipment, warehouse, access, etc.) and acting as the person responsible for toxic gas supervision.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- Master’s degree in chemistry or chemical engineering;
- Hands-on experience and know-how on experimental activities;
- Familiarity with the development of experimental procedures for testing batteries and H2 technologies;
- Familiarity with the safety assessment and the main Italian RCS;
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English;
- Good knowledge of written and spoken Italian;
- Team-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Self-motivated and results driven.
Furthermore, the following qualifications will be positively evaluated:
- Valid Toxic Gas Handling License (patentino gas tossici);
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., python, C++);
- Proven track record on laboratory management from safety or quality perspective.
