What job responsibilities do I have in this role?

  • Well-versed with (International) Codes & Standards, e.g., CE, IEC, API, BS.
  • Evaluate the basis of design and ensure that it complies with the electrical codes & standards/legislation.
  • Guide an international team of engineers and designers in challenging engineering environment.
  • Specification and procurement of equipment such as:
    • Sizing calculations, datasheets
    • AC/DC Power Converters, Medium Voltage Transformers and Switchgear, High Voltage Distribution systems, UPS Systems
    • Electrical substations/E-house
  • Performing or reviewing electrical system studies such as load flow, short circuit, harmonics etc.
  • Cooperate/lead partners and suppliers to optimize design and align interfaces with electrical equipment/systems.
  • Performing FAT’s/SAT’s and/or vendor inspections.
  • Maintaining knowledge base w.r.t. electrical design & engineering.
  • Provide technical support to the project team in the procurement of electrical equipment.
  • Supporting and coaching a team of Junior Engineers.
  • Maintain and improve supply chain and monitor technical developments in the electrical industry.

You are an experienced Electrical Engineer with experience in a field relevant to biogas upgrading, carbon capture or hydrogen who can take on a project from start to finish. You have a hands-on mentality, and you will do what it takes to ensure the best result of the project you work on.

As you will be working in an international team, a strong team player mentality together with the ability to speak English fluently is key and it is your nature to support the development of your colleagues.

You are agile and able to quickly switch between high level activities and specific detailed matters, as well as able to shift focus across multiple projects as per present needs.

You enjoy or look forward to working in a relatively small yet growing team and co-creating our future. Where you see an issue or a challenge, you tend to take the initiative, stepping into areas where the team needs you.

Your experience:

  • Master degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent through experience.
  • 5 years of working experience in a similar position.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to speak and write English at a professional level.
  • Located in the Netherlands with a Dutch working permit.
  • Experience in biogas & carbon capture, hydrogen or industrial gasses is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in the renewable energy industry (geothermal, wind, hydro, solar, hydrogen) is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of European regulations concerning ATEX/SIL is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of ETAP/SKM Power Tools or equivalent.
