We are looking for a dynamic and analytical Market Intelligence Analyst to join our Brussels-based team. You will be responsible for conducting detailed market analyses, preparing reports on hydrogen production pathways, and collaborating with policymakers to support advocacy efforts. 

Main responsibilities: 

  • Developing or contributing to techno-economic analyses on relevant topics such as various hydrogen production pathways, consuming sectors like ammonia, steel, efuel, etc.) 
  • Developing and maintaining project databases 
  • Leading or contributing to market assessments from the Secretariat, members, or external stakeholders relevant to Hydrogen Europe’s policy activities 
  • Tracking regulatory developments (e.g. RED III implementation) and assessing their market implications 
  • Developing an expertise in some of the hydrogen end-uses (ammonia, steel, refining, e-SAF, methanol, etc.), storage, infrastructure, or production methods 
  • Coordinating and contributing to major team deliverables, including the annual flagship publication, the Clean Hydrogen Monitor 

Requirements 

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Energy Systems, Economics, Sustainability Management, Energy Management) 
  • 3-5 years work experience in market intelligence, energy systems, economic or quantitative policy analysis.  
  • Demonstrated interest in energy transition topics and EU policy  
  • Good understanding of the energy system and some of the challenges facing the energy transition. Basic understanding of the role of hydrogen in the energy transition. 
  • Flexibility and bringing a curious and creative mindset, open to new things and able to propose innovative ideas as well as quickly adapting to new topic areas. 
  • Ability to structure complex and ambiguous problems into solvable tasks. 
  • Excellent English speaking & writing skills with ability to write clear and convincing documents for both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under deadlines. 
  • Advanced experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Experience with maintaining large datasets. 

Nice to have: 

  • Previous experience with visualization or data management software (PowerBI, SQL databases, etc.) 
  • Exposure to clean hydrogen sector technologies and their applications.
