The Role: Procurement Lead – NPI

The Procurement Lead – NPI will be a key role in the ongoing development of our supply chain team. Your skill and experience will be leveraged for developing and maintaining long term, open, collaborative and commercially robust business relationships with technology partners who are designing and delivering complex sub-systems for LIFTE and its Clients. As part of the supply chain function development the Procurement Lead will also take a leading role in the enhancement of our procurement practices including contract and supplier management processes.

The Procurement Lead will report to the Head of Supply Chain Development.

Your Responsibilities

  • Understanding our clients’ needs and how the business is developing
  • Develop and maintain long term relationships with technology partners
  • Partner with Engineering, product development and systems analytics teams on all NPI developments
  • Develop and apply a disciplined Supplier Relationship Management framework to support the contract management activities and to engage with suppliers to build a forward-looking picture
  • Analyze market dynamics and develop/propose risk mitigation strategies
  • Work with the Product development team as they establish product strategies, by developing go-to market strategies incorporating our channel partners, including partner contracting strategies
  • Architect supply chains that deliver products that meet or exceed expectations based on inputs for our clients, engineering, project management and product development teams
  • Manage product readiness from initial sourcing through, production transfer and delivery to projects, working with the Procurement Lead for Projects, to ensure schedule, costs and quality requirements are met.
  • Ensure compliance with company guidelines by adopting best in class procurement practices.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, current and future policies and procedures, regulatory and trade requirements, appropriate to the procurement function

Additional Details

  • 10-20% Domestic and International Travel
  • Position is based in Berlin, Germany or London, UK
  • One day per week attendance in office required

Requirements

What Experience & Education is Required?

  • Bachelor’s in business, supply chain, engineering field, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of sourcing strategies, supplier management and negotiations, contract management lifecycle, procure-to-pay operations
  • 5+ years of experience working within a procurement or sourcing function

What Skills are Necessary for Success?

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Able to build relationships, influence others and work effectively with colleagues across multiple locations
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to self-direct
