We are looking for a talented PRODUCT ENGINEER -to join our team specializing in ENGINEERING FOR our DOSER TECHNOLOGY BUSINESS Unit in MARKTHEIDENFELD, BAYERN, GERMANY
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:
- Design Optimization: Apply engineering principles to create and refine mechanical design concepts, considering factors like cost, weight, performance, and serviceability.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve design-related issues from VPI programs or field reports, documenting findings and solutions.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Effectively communicate design concepts and their capabilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet corporate and customer requirements.
- Design Process Support: Utilize tools and processes like iDFMEA, GD&T, and ANSYS Workbench to support high-quality design decisions and refinements.
- Design Decision Facilitation: Support design decisions through thorough review packages, aiding in concept selection and optimization.
- Component and System Ownership: Take ownership of problem resolution for complex components and systems, increasing in technical complexity with experience.
- Process Improvement: Independently execute established work processes and contribute to the improvement of systems and processes.
- Team Contribution: Work towards team goals, coordinate work among technicians or interns, and develop proficiency in key competency areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Relevant experience working in either a temporary student employment environment (intern, co-op, or other extracurricular team activities) or as an early career professional in a relevant technical discipline area. Knowledge of MS Office and CREO tools is also preferred
- The applicant should have English and German B2 level language
- There should be experience with manufacturing and production methods
- Knowledge about electronic components is of advantage.
RESPONSIBILITIES
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING:
- Cross-Functional Integration and Communication: Ability to incorporate diverse inputs into cohesive designs and communicate them effectively in cross-functional reviews.
- Mechanical Design and Analysis: Proficiency in creating CAD models, performing analyses (e.g., FEA), and developing precise design specifications.
- Systems Thinking and Problem Solving: Apply deep mechanical system knowledge to innovate, resolve issues, and prevent failures using structured, data-driven approaches.
- Project and Product Management: Manage product development activities, including product platform planning, configuration management, and ensuring compliance with requirements and regulations.
