Main responsibilities

  • Lead on end-to-end planning, delivery, and evaluation of in person and online events and meetings
  • Coordinate all logistics including venue, catering, tech setup, and delegate management
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and event documentation
  • Liaise with internal teams, external suppliers, speakers, and attendees
  • Develop and implement promotional strategies in collaboration with the comms team
  • Provide general administrative support including maintaining databases, managing event registrations, and preparing materials, as well as reports.

In addition, the Senior Officer, Events will support broader administrative processes as required. This may include assisting with the organisation’s meeting centre operations, contributing to the delivery of the annual flagship event: European Hydrogen Week, and providing general support across the team during busy periods.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience
  • Having a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working in international or nonprofit, membership organisations
  • Excellent command of English (oral and written).
  • Proficiency with event platforms (e.g., Zoom, Ms Teams, Eventbrite and other) and project management tools
  • Familiarity with hybrid event formats and accessibility best practices
