Thyssengas built the first long-distance gas transmission system in Germany, thereby supporting industrial development in the Ruhr District.
Today, we operate long-distance gas transmission systems with a total length of around 4,200 kilometres, supported by large-scale technical plants such as our compressor station in Ochtrup. Our gas supply infrastructure stretches from the North Sea coast to Siegerland. Millions of people and the largest industrial area in Europe rely on us to dependably supply them with energy, ensure access to affordable suppliers and thus promote competition.
We are convinced that only a state-of-the-art gas supply infrastructure can enable us to achieve and reconcile the twin objectives of supply security and energy decarbonisation. We will also continue to deliver innovative contributions towards a successful energy revolution going forward.
