Hydrogen Europe Research Young Scientist Award
Hydrogen Europe Research is pleased to announce the annual awards to be presented to outstanding young scientists contributing to the three pillars of the European Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Joint Undertaking. Areas of interest include fundamentals, applications and analysis in the topic areas of:
FCH Technologies for Transportation Systems
FCH Technologies for Energy Systems
FCH Technologies cross-cutting activities (safety, RCS, education…)
The award consists of € 500, a recognition certificate, and travel expenses to participate to the award presentation at the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking Programme Review Days (14 November 2018, Brussels).
Applicants must be young researchers not older than 35 at the date of handing in the application. Applicants must demonstrate their personal contribution to at least one FCH-JU project.
The completed Application must include:
A Statement of Research on the involvement into at least one FCH-JU project
Two (2) letters of recommendation
Statement of Research
The Statement of Research on the involvement into FCH-JU projects is to be written by the young scientist and must represent the applicant’s own thinking. It is to be written using non-specialized terms that are clear and unambiguous, so that someone not intimately familiar with the specific field of research but with a hydrogen and fuel cell background can understand the material. The Statement of Research is limited to three pages including figures. (Type size should be no smaller than 12 points and margins no less than 2,5 cm) It should include a brief overview of the research, method of approach, and discussion of potential significance of the results. Up to three relevant documents (papers, reports, deliverables and patents) may be attached.
