15 July 2025Spain has announced the winners of its €400m ($467m) funding award under the European Hydrogen Bank’s Auction-as-a-Service (AaaS) scheme, which aims to support national-level green H2 projects.
The three successful projects, announced yesterday (Monday), will be granted up to €372m to build a combined total of 485MW of electrolyser capacity in the country — with production subsidies of up to €0.69/kg for ten years.
The three national projects — chosen by the EU’s Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) — are EP2X, eM-Numancia and Orange.bat, with each of them in line to receive €246 million, €44 million and €83 million, respectively.
