19 February 2026AFC Energy Plc (AIM:AFC) has received permission from the UK Environment Agency to export and sell low carbon hydrogen produced at its pilot ammonia cracking plant in Dunsfold, the company announced Wednesday.
The regulatory revision to AFC’s Research and Development permit will accelerate revenue generation from hydrogen production by several months, according to the company’s statement based on a press release.
The Dunsfold pilot facility can produce up to 300kg of hydrogen daily in its current configuration, meeting the ISO 14687 grade D standard with 99.97% purity.
“This accelerates revenue generation for AFC Energy, from hydrogen production, by a number of months,” said John Wilson, CEO of AFC Energy, in the announcement.
