‘We will support all forms of low-carbon hydrogen production’: new Belgian government
4 February 2025ZeroAvia’s 600kW hydrogen-electric propulsion system has received a G-1 Issue Paper from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), confirming the certification basis and outlining its path to full approval and commercialisation.
The Issue Paper defines the airworthiness regulations the system must meet and support ZeroAvia’s efforts to certify its full hydrogen-electric powertrain with the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
By establishing these regulatory requirements, ZeroAvia is now able to validate its design and move forward in the approval process.
CEO and Founder, Val Miftakhov said, “Certifying and selling our 600kW electric propulsion system helps ZeroAvia expand our addressable market and increase our impact in pursuit of a clean future of flight.”
