Purpose:

As the Ammonia Process Lead, you will be leading study activities for our new energies early phase studies related to green/ blue ammonia. During the studies (mainly at the feasibility, conceptual and Pre-FEED) you will supervise and contribute to the production of key process deliverables including Heat and material balances, PFDs, technology reviews, layouts, balance of plant, operations philosophies, input into technical safety reviews etc.

Duties:

  • Lead and supervise a team of junior process engineers throughout various projects.
  • Coordinate external interfaces with the customer, Licensors/suppliers, subcontractors for all technical issues and internal interfaces with the project management team, construction engineering and commissioning disciplines.
  • Conduct technology evaluations and ensure seamless integration with blue or green hydrogen production and plant operations.
  • Contribute actively to the advancement of methods, tools, and guidelines within the Process Community of Practice.
  • Provide comprehensive training, skill development, and mentorship to engineers both locally and globally, fostering professional growth.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in handling confidentiality, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and effectively managing intellectual property (IP) matters with licensors.
  • Possess valuable knowledge and experience in the operation of ammonia plants, an asset for the role.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a degree in engineering or a Master’s degree in process engineering or an equivalent field.
  • Demonstrated expertise with a minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in ammonia production, engineering, and design.
  • Previous experience in team management and/or project management is highly valued.
  • Proficient in process design, including P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram), PFD (Process Flow Diagram), and process simulation using tools like Hysys, PROII, etc.
  • Familiarity with international industrial design standards.
  • Knowledge of safety reviews such as HAZID (Hazard Identification) and HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study).
  • Possess a rigorous and methodical approach to work.
  • Display autonomy and the ability to work independently.
  • Exhibit curiosity and a continuous desire for learning and improvement.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork skills, promoting a collaborative work environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in delivering presentations to various stakeholders.
  • Display an excellent work ethic and a positive attitude towards tasks and challenges.
