Hydrogen Europe has the following membership categories:

  • Corporate is open to for-profit organisations involved in hydrogen and fuel cells or planning to engage in these activities within two years. Members must operate in the EU, EEA, UK, Switzerland, or countries associated with Horizon Europe, and comply with Hydrogen Europe’s Bylaws;
  • Non-Profit is open to organisations that operate as non-profits, support hydrogen development, and comply with Hydrogen Europe’s Bylaws. Subcategories include European National Hydrogen Associations, Non-European National Associations, and Other Non-Profit Members.
  • European Regional is open to regional public authorities, including local administrations or entities with public responsibilities related to the environment. Eligible members must be based in the EU, EEA, UK, Switzerland, or countries associated with Horizon Europe, and comply with Hydrogen Europe’s Bylaws. Membership is limited to one organisation per region.
  • Programme is open to organisations participating in hydrogen PPP-funded projects that are not already members of Hydrogen Europe or Hydrogen Europe Research. While eligible organisations can apply for Programme Membership, they are encouraged to join as Corporate or Non-Profit Members if they meet the criteria.
  • Global Partner is open to for-profit organisations based outside the EU, EEA, UK, Switzerland, and countries associated with Horizon Europe, The countries where they are based must have cooperation agreements with the EU or its members on hydrogen or general trade related issues. Eligible members must align with Hydrogen Europe’s mission and comply with Hydrogen Europe’s Bylaws.
