Main responsibilities:

The analyst will be part of the Intelligence team within the Technology & Market pillar. Responsibilities will include:

  • Assume responsibility for and develop technical knowledge and data for Hydrogen Europe’s work on supply chain sustainability (critical raw materials and materials in general; per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, water use, recycling, circularity, lifecycle emissions, and other issues)
  • Support policy team colleagues with various topics covered under the Sustainability working group
  • Conduct desk research on a variety of topics related to supply chain sustainability
  • Support policy colleagues with assessing how proposed policies could impact the emergence of clean hydrogen market and deployment of clean hydrogen technologies
  • Assist with updating existing databases and other data collection efforts
  • Manipulate data and create outputs for presentations and public outputs
  • Conduct analyses to respond to ad-hoc requests for support from Hydrogen Europe members, colleagues, or policymakers

Ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong analytical mind with a high level of curiosity
  • Capacity to conduct academic research as well as collect organise, and analyse quantitative and qualitative data
  • Knowledge of the energy sector and basic understanding of the role of clean hydrogen in a zero-emission society
  • Experience with supply chain sustainability; ideally with a strong focus on materials
  • Good numerical skills
  • Solid writing skills in English
  • Ability to structure and prioritize to meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office tools with a focus on Excel
  • A relevant university degree (engineering or other science subjects, economics, business, IR/policy degree only with significant quantitative/analytical experience)
