BOSS Energy are partnered with a leading Hydrogen Refuelling business that designs and manufactures large capacity refuelling stations (200 kg to 2 tons per day) for fuel cell (Hydrogen) electric vehicles.

With their experience in manufacturing refuelling stations since 2009 and 34 stations manufactured, we want to become the European leader in high capacity Hydrogen filling stations. Our business plan is based on the sale of 100 stations by 2025 with strong international development. 130 new positions are planned by 2025.

To support their development, they have tasked BOSS Energy to bring in a exceptional Business Development Manager – Region: Germany & Netherlands.

Your Mission:

You will be responsible for developing and winning new business in Germany & Netherlands.
You will be accountable for the growth of our business in the region. You will lead all facets of business development, with the coordination of key stakeholders including engineering, finance, government relations and operations.

Main Activities:

Pursue and win new hydrogen fuelling station opportunities in the region.
Use strengths in hydrogen production, distribution, and fuelling to drive growth.
Lead the process from opportunity identification through proposal development, negotiation, preparation of internal approval documents and contract signature. You will remain involved until the new opportunity comes onstream.
Develop opportunities with both new and existing customers, although the majority of opportunities are expected to be at new customers.
Develop partnership for market acceleration.
Develop an understanding of current and future regulations driving the adoption of zero-emission vehicles (ZEV).
Develop an understanding of the technical aspects of hydrogen production, distribution and fueling in order to communicate the advantages of hydrogen and fuel cells vs. alternative technologies.
Develop an understanding of government funding and procurement as it pertains to supporting the development of hydrogen fueling projects in Germany & Netherlands and other areas of focus.

Experience & Skills:

A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or a related field.
Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in the Hydrogen sector / Industrial Gases Business / Mobility or related sector.
Fluent German + Fluent English
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to persuasively present the benefits of HRS’ technology and business models is essential to success in this position.
Have a strong interest in a business role and the desire to develop and/or demonstrate commercial skills, including customer relationship management, team consensus building, contract negotiations and the ability to close deals.
Experience in supplying mass transit, port operations or truck fleet operators greatly appreciated.
Experience in hydrogen fuelling and the industrial gas business is a plus.
Strong financial skills critical for proposal development.
