Responsibilities:

  • The primary objective is to enhance the organization’s understanding of hydrogen and CCUS processes across existing and emerging markets, refining market models and go-to-market strategies accordingly.
  • Key areas of focus include pumping, compression, and filtration applications within these processes.
  • Conduct process and technology mapping to comprehensively identify and understand the applications. Additionally, engage in technology scouting to assess new adjacencies and potential mergers and acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with R&D and product groups, particularly in H2 & CO2 material and design requirements, and identify relevant technical standards.
  • Translate process engineering knowledge and industry codes related to hydrogen and CCUS into actionable insights for product and solution development.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and apply for government-funded research or industrial projects.
  • Serve as the central point and subject matter expert for process and application knowledge in Hydrogen and CCUS, specifically in compression, pumping, and filtration. Provide guidance to the broader engineering and sales community on related inquiries.
  • Actively participate in technical networks, maintaining a strong awareness of technical developments, and sharing information with specialists and engineers across disciplines.
  • Build capabilities in process engineering for hydrogen and CCUS through coaching, mentoring, and training product managers and engineers.
  • Engage in various hydrogen and CCUS industry forums, associations, and trade shows to enhance customer awareness.

Requirements:

  • Qualified specialist with a comprehensive understanding of (green/blue) hydrogen and CCUS processes, spanning production, electrolysis, liquefaction, ammonia/methanol conversion, LOHC, transport & storage, export/import terminals, ship transport, and various end uses. A genuine enthusiasm for Energy Transition is essential.
  • Your expertise likely extends to pumping, compression, and filtration applications within these processes, and additional knowledge/experience in H2&CO2 detection/measurement would be advantageous.
  • A solid understanding of Hydrogen and CO2-specific standards for designing the mentioned equipment is expected.
  • You bring substantial experience in the design, commissioning, and operation of hydrogen generation plants (within a refinery) or hydrogen conversion processes like ammonia and methanol.
  • Your familiarity with existing and emerging industry codes within oil and gas, chemical, or other relevant process industries for hydrogen and CCUS is a key qualification.
  • Accustomed to working in a matrix organization alongside engineering, project, and sales teams.
  • You possess strong communication skills, excelling in the development and delivery of presentations for both existing and potential customers.
  • Experience in creating process diagrams/flowcharts to map out relevant equipment and applications is part of your skill set.
  • This role will involve some travel on occasion to other sites, and so the ability and willingness to travel when required will be needed.
