Main responsabilities

  • Generally: contribute to the implementation of Hydrogen Europe’s strategy, positioning, and advocacy on current and future EU Energy issues, particularly with regards to clean hydrogen production, consumption and the needed infrastructure;
  • In particular:
    • Under the supervision of Energy & Infrastructure Policy Director, you will be part of the Energy and Infrastructure policy team; focusing on policy development and advocacy towards EU institution.
    • You will carry out broad advocacy actions towards the EU insititutions on issues related to infrastructure development.
    • You will be responsible for managing a Working Group in the field of infrastructure development. This entails developing and drafting position papers with the industry, responding to public consultation and creating and nurturing alliances with strategic partners in the realm of the infrastructure development.
    • You will also be responsible for following the process of Ten-Year Network Development Plan and European Projects of Common Interest selection;
    • You will represent Hydrogen Europe externally, developing partnership with other like-minded stakeholders, participating, and speaking at external events;
    • You will work closely with other members of an international and highly diverse team of professionals in the field of hydrogen contributing both to the objectives of the Energy & Infrastructure as well as the overall Policy Team (that also includes Trade and Transport Divisions).

Requirements

  • University degree in Social Sciences, Political Sciences (EU studies, Political Science, International Relations), European law, economics;
  • Justified work experience in public affairs (minimum 2 years); experience in European Affairs is a great plus;
  • Knowledge and strong interest in the renewable energy sector with a passion for hydrogen is a plus;
  • Willingness to learn and deepen technical aspects of our activities;
  • Good understanding of EU institutions and their workings;
  • Fluency in English. Knowledge of other European languages an asset;
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Accuracy, attention to detail;
  • Providing a high-quality service, even when working under pressure.
  • Flexible, reliable, good team player with positive can-do attitude.

Skills

  • Good organisational and time management skills as well ability to manage multiple issues and tight deadlines (necessary to run a working group);
  • Excellent written, communication and analytical skills.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge and capability with Microsoft Office such as power points, word and excel.
