The Role: Procurement Lead – Project Delivery

The Procurement Lead – Project delivery will be a key role in the ongoing development of our supply chain team. Your skill and experience will be leveraged to ensure our technology partners achieve safety, cost effectiveness, schedule effectiveness, quality, and sustainability across a portfolio of capital projects. As part of the supply chain function development the Procurement Lead will also take a leading role in the enhancement of our procurement practices including tendering and supplier management processes.

The Procurement Lead will report to the Head of Supply Chain Development.

Your Responsibilities

• Understanding our clients’ needs and how the business is developing
• Development, implementation, and ongoing management of end-to-end capital procurement cycle
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key strategic suppliers
• Lead the preparation of pre-tender, tender documents, and tender execution in accordance with best practice processes
• Develop and maintain, clear, unambiguous, efficient, and integrated processes for capital procurement
• Support the project managers with identification and management of risks, taking accountability for supply chain risk mitigation strategies for the projects.
• Closely collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with company guidelines by adopting best in class procurement practices.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices, current and future policies and procedures, regulatory and trade requirements, appropriate to the procurement function

Additional Details

• 10-20% Domestic and International Travel
• Position is based in Berlin, Germany or London, UK
• One day per week attendance in office required

Requirements

What Experience & Education is Required?

• Bachelor’s in business, supply chain, engineering field, or equivalent
• Knowledge of sourcing strategies, supplier management and negotiations, contract management lifecycle, procure-to-pay operations
• 5+ years of experience working within a procurement or sourcing function

What Skills are Necessary for Success?

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Able to build relationships, influence others and work effectively with colleagues across multiple locations
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to self-direct
