Hydrogenics Europe NV, based in Oevel, is part of the Cummins New Power Business and is a leading developer of sustainable hydrogen technology. The Oevel facility designs, manufactures, and installs revolutionary hydrogen systems worldwide. Our plants provide on-site production of hydrogen and oxygen and do so through a water electrolysis process. The resulting hydrogen gas is used, among other things, for industrial applications (glass, metal, electronics manufacturing), hydrogen filling stations for mobility applications, and is also used to store surplus renewable energy (solar, wind, geothermal and hydropower) in the form of hydrogen gas.
- You will define Product Safety strategy for Electrolyzers with Corporate / NPBU Product Safety Advisor, and Electrolyzers Engineering Exec. Director.
- Defines and implements Product Safety system that ensures that organization and products comply with applicable laws and regulations, with Cummins product safety Policy, and with product safety related Customer requirements.
- Also, you will lead the assigned organization and related management with regards to product safety
- It is important to ensure that product safety system is regularly assessed for completeness and effectiveness, and that requirements for product safety related auditing are implemented
- Ensures and controls implementation of product safety related quality methods and risk management
- Develops, controls and ensures appropriate product safety reporting
- Ensures that necessary financial and human resources are available to fulfill the product safety tasks
- Ensures definition and implementation of competence management and training for product safety
- Fosters a product safety culture within his/her area and provides support and advice
- Ensures that necessary corrective measures are properly dealt with and implemented
Collaborates with executives and relevant stakeholders to achieve product safety goals
Your profile
- Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required.
- Demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making.
- Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred.
- Proof of min 3 years of experience in Functional Safety within 5 years.
- Can be by certification for IEC 61511/61508 creditable organisation (e.g. TUV Rheinland, Exida, TUV Sud,…)
- Experience defining, implementing and overseeing overarching product safety system (procedures, programs, teams, roles, activities, trainings, reporting and communications) for products and solutions portfolio.
- College, university, or equivalent bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required.
- Good English communicational skills are required.
