Job Responsibilities: 

  • Your primary responsibilities involve the specification, development, and execution of test cases to verify and validate software designed for electromobility, specifically focusing on electric commercial vehicles.
  • You will collaborate closely with key team members, including the System Architect, Lead Software Architect, and Software Manager.
  • Analyzing requirements at both the System and Component levels is essential to develop test cases covering functional, integration, and system aspects for subsequent execution in a Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environment.
  • Managing the development of test cases is a crucial aspect of your role to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software.
  • Your role also includes crafting clean and efficient software in accordance with established coding guidelines and rules.
  • Thorough documentation of test cases using the Requirements Management tool is an integral part of your tasks.
  • Executing test cases and meticulously documenting results using the reporting tool is another vital aspect of your responsibilities.
  • You will provide assistance to the Software Architect in analyzing software test failures.
  • Managing multiple tasks and effectively prioritizing them to meet project deadlines is a key skill required for this role.

Candidate Profile: 

  • A successful candidate should hold a university degree in a technical field or possess a comparable qualification.
  • Prior experience in Automotive Software Verification & Validation Methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in developing Requirements-based tests, Black-box tests, Fault-injection tests, and similar methodologies is a valuable asset.
  • Familiarity with Automotive Communication Protocols, including CAN, UDS, and DoCAN, is beneficial.
  • Experience with Requirements Management tools such as DOORS and Polarion is a plus.
  • Knowledge of HIL test systems and debugging tools is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools like Vector CANape, CANoe, CANalyzer, dSpace ControlDesk, and AutomationDesk is preferred
  • Strong scripting skills using CAPL, PERL, or Python are essential.
  • Fluency in both German and English, along with the ability to work effectively in intercultural teams, complements your profile.
