In the role of Study Manager, they will lead project/study endeavours as the primary liaison for technical and commercial matters. With a focus on safe and efficient project execution, they ensure compliance with contractual obligations, meeting client expectations, safety standards, and quality requirements, all while adhering to budget and schedule constraints.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of projects, managing technical and commercial aspects while facilitating effective change management.
  • Lead a team of Consultants and Engineers.
  • Identify future opportunities with clients, fostering strong relationships, and enhancing their understanding of industry drivers and challenges.
  • Support Business Development campaigns to expand market presence, diversify the client base, and stay informed about competitor capabilities.
  • Oversee proposal preparation and delivery, collaborating with operational teams to meet project Gross Profit targets.
  • Deliver projects in compliance with internal and/or client processes, ensuring high-quality services through client feedback.
  • Maximize project profitability in line with proposal expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with Delivery Manager and Resource Planner on mobilization and demobilization requirements.
  • Work closely with People & Culture teams and Local Resource Planners to promote talent development and retention.
  • Collaborate globally for process and tool improvement, emphasizing digitalization.
  • Communicate project deliverables through written and oral presentations and technical reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science with a degree in Chemical Engineering, bringing a minimum of 15 years of experience in downstream Petrochemical, Refinery, and Gas Processing Facilities engineering, including utilities and offsites.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, coupled with proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • Preferably experienced through the full life cycle of study to EPC.
  • Solid understanding of downstream/refining industry, syngas, and syngas derivatives.
  • Familiarity with automation and electrical design principles, piping, and facilities layout design, as well as experience in Model review/HAZID/HAZOP workshops.
  • Experience in new technologies related to energy transition: CCS, Low Carbon solutions, Green and Blue H2, and Energy intermittency management.
