Job Description:

As a Senior Electrolyser Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting our client’s ambitious hydrogen and derivative strategy. Leveraging your extensive technical knowledge in electrolyser technology and supporting systems, you will contribute directly to a diverse portfolio of projects. Your expertise will guide early-phase project feasibility and concept design. As projects progress, you will drive operational optimization of the electrolyser, and you’ll also have the chance to work on innovative R&D initiatives to enhance our client’s competence in this field. Additionally, you will cultivate strong relationships with electrolyser OEMs, offering valuable insights into their technical capabilities and supply chains to bolster our technology roadmap and strategy.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a technical authority in electrolyser technology and value chains for all hydrogen and hydrogen derivative projects.
  • Provide tailored electrolyser expertise to ongoing and emerging projects, particularly during the feasibility and concept selection phases.
  • Establish and nurture robust connections within the electrolyser supply chain.
  • Collaborate with and offer subject matter expertise to M&A, procurement, and R&D teams.
  • Work closely with other subject matter experts to facilitate seamless whole system integration.
  • Review and approve drawings, documents, and reports generated by third parties.
  • Offer subject matter expertise to shape technology roadmaps and outlooks.
  • This role may involve occasional domestic and international travel.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree in engineering/chemistry/physics or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with OEMs or as a hydrogen production developer, owner, or operator is required.
  • Expertise in both Alkaline and PEM technologies is essential.
  • Familiarity with Solid Oxide electrolysers, Anion Exchange Membrane, or other emerging electrolyser technologies is advantageous.
  • Experience in both upstream and downstream system integration is desirable.
  • Background in technology strategy and development programs is a plus.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are vital.
  • Availability for travel to meet development teams, start-ups, suppliers, partners, and clients is necessary.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is required. Proficiency in Norwegian/European languages is an advantage.
