With the fuel cell, the BMW Group is relying on an alternative, emission-free technology that will be used in the small series of the BMW iX5 Hydrogen in the future. Production of the hydrogen drive component has now started.

With the start of production of specially developed fuel cell systems, the BMW Group is taking the next step towards sustainable electromobility. The forward-looking combination of fuel cell and power battery in the vehicle offers a fascinating, everyday and CO ₂ -free alternative to existing electric drive forms. In this way, the company has another sustainable, valuable drive option ready – for more emission-free options in everyday mobility.
