New electrolyser tech could cut ammonia costs
25 May 2023Spain-headed green energy company Greenalia SA and German power-to-X development firm P2X-Europe GmbH & Co. KG (P2X-Europe) have signed an agreement that lay the foundations for the implementation of Project Breogán, a sustainable electro-fuels (eFuel) production plant for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
P2X-Europe is a joint venture of German energy infrastructure engineer H&R GmbH & Co. KGaA (H&R) and compatriot independent energy company Mabanaft Gmbh & Co. KG.
The agreement with Greenalia includes as its main objective the development of an ambitious and innovative facility, planned at the Curtis-Teixeiro industrial area, for the generation of synthetic hydrocarbons, which will serve as raw material for conversion into sustainable fuels and chemical base materials.
