21 August 2023Embarking on a new wave of electrolyzer scale-up, ITM Power has unveiled its latest 20 MW core electrolysis process module called ‘Poseidon’ with an optimized footprint that can be scaled-up into large facilities, both indoor and outdoor installation.
The company claims that it has already started bidding the module into commercial hydrogen projects. Based on our state-of-the-art ‘Trident’ stack platform, Poseidon consists of skid-mounted units, which can be pre-fabricated and pre-tested. This reduces deployment timelines and construction costs, and de-risks projects, ITM Power adds.
Dennis Schulz, CEO of ITM Power, commented on the development, “Green hydrogen project sizes continue to scale, and ITM is responding with a new product release. Poseidon is a game-changer for large-scale electrolyzer deployments.”
The other electrolyzer platforms of the UK-based company include ‘Trident’ and ‘Neptune’ 2MW plug-and-play electrolyzers for small to mid-size projects.
