The Senior Electrical Engineer for Renewable Energy will take the lead in and provide support for electrical engineering aspects of offshore/onshore oil and gas, as well as wind/solar projects, throughout various phases such as concept and pre-FEED. A key focus will be on the electrical architecture of the project, encompassing offshore/onshore substations and power cables.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Electrical team in coordinating detailed design phases across all electrical engineering aspects.
  • Participating in Electrical discipline activities, encompassing document preparation, checking, specification development, calculations, and more.
  • Coordinating systems design to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and client requirements for installation and operations.
  • Leading efforts to ensure timely and within-budget project completion to satisfaction.
  • Preparing clear and concise technical reports and studies meeting client needs.
  • Liaising with vendors to prepare purchase specifications for client recommendations.
  • Supporting cost estimation for Electrical activities.
  • Conducting independent reviews of work, including calculations and drawings.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Preferably holds a PE license.
  • 5-10 years of experience in electrical design across various sectors including renewable power, with at least 3 years in renewable power and power studies.
  • Knowledgeable about engineering standards such as NEC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI.
  • Experience in designing electrical engineering systems within project teams, including equipment selection, materials, and calculations/specifications preparation.
  • Minimum of 3 years leading an engineering design team through project phases.
  • Familiarity with available equipment and pre-engineered systems for systems design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • Experience with ETAP, SKM, or similar electrical analysis software.
  • Familiarity with NEC design for large-scale renewable resource installations and EV charging stations.
  • Proficiency in PVSyst, WindPro, or similar software.
  • Construction and start-up experience is advantageous
