INEGI aims to contribute to the increased use of clean energy technologies in the national energy system, in particular through the integration of renewable energy sources. This project comprises applied research activities in the area of renewable gases, namely:
– Optimization of production processes of green hydrogen, its integration into transmission and distribution networks, and requirements for end-user conversion;
– Development of suitable storage systems/reservoirs;
– Development of suitable energy management tools to support the operation of green hydrogen production plants;
– Development of methodologies for techno-economic assessment and design of business models for the integration of renewable gases into the energy system.
