Responsibilities:

  • Advising the organization on funding programs, with a particular focus on hydrogen projects, at both national and European level
  • Work closely with the sales team, as well as colleagues in politics, legal, regulation, and lobbying, to provide recommendations on funding options for potential projects
  • Be responsible for designing, initiating, and preparing funding applications for strategically important energy solution projects, in accordance with the guidelines of the relevant funding programs, developing project descriptions, sub-project descriptions, project calculations, and milestone plans
  • Be the primary point of contact for the funding authority on content-related matters, and will represent the organization confidentially in funding project consortia, ensuring timely input
  • Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders, particularly in the public sector, your internal and external networks to build strong and trustworthy relationships
  • Maintain close contact with technical departments to assess the effects of ongoing projects and funding requirements
  • Implement effective processes for the acquisition and management of funding, continuously developing these processes to optimize efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Specialized knowledge and several years of experience in securing public funding for projects, with a focus on energy-related initiatives
  • Successful track record of obtaining funding for projects at both the European and national levels, including Horizon 2020, IPCEI, Reallabore der Energiewende, Life (+), EU Innovation Fund, and Connecting Europe Facility
  • Experience managing projects and working on cross-country initiatives
  • Have an established network within the energy sector and is committed to expanding and strengthening it further
  • Solution-oriented and pragmatic in their approach to project management
  • Possess strong communication skills and diplomacy when dealing with counterparts and maintains a confident and professional demeanour
  • Communicate fluently in German and English
