Under the Regional EPC Manager’s authority, the role entails overseeing a designated geographical area’s operations, managing Project Portfolio Managers responsible for various construction projects across solar, hydro, biomass, and energy storage power plants.

Key Duties:

  • Advise EPC management on strategic matters and translate directives into project portfolios.
  • Lead and support a team of Project Portfolio Managers.
  • Manage the designated region’s EPC activities, including team organization and strategy alignment.
  • Provide insights on potential future projects and advise on organizational efficiency.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators within the region.
  • Assist in troubled project recovery and mentor Project Portfolio Managers.
  • Lead preparation for new project locations, including HR planning and contractor selection.

Planning and Execution:

  • Support development teams to ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Analyse project contexts, anticipate resource needs, and establish construction budgets.
  • Monitor project progress, identify cost optimization measures, and ensure quality standards.
  • Report project KPIs accurately and validate project progress reports.
  • Facilitate synergy among project teams and maintain stakeholder relationships.

Client/Supplier/Subcontractor Relations:

  • Manage relationships with strategic suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Negotiate contracts and support commercial teams in client discussions.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual indicators and act as a technical point of contact.

Requirements: 

  • Master’s degree in engineering.
  • PMP® and PRINCE2 certifications.
  • MBA or other relevant master’s degree preferred.
  • 15 years of experience in team and construction project management.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Expertise in project coordination and construction project management.
  • Specialized knowledge in solar, wind, hydro, biomass, and/or energy storage.
  • Advanced project management, cost control, and contract management skills.
  • Deep understanding of construction contract principles, construction law, and labour law.
  • Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Proficiency in office software and project management tools
