BEC – Sales Engineer (Pre-sales):

  • BOSS Energy is working with a scaling-up clean technology business who are developing fuel cell and EV charging solutions for various clean power applications.
  • The company is looking for a Sales/Pre Sales Engineer to join their commercial team in the US.
  • The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise and use it during key presentations and client interfaces.


  • Based in the US, preferably in Atlanta, GE. Willingness to travel across the US as needed.


  • BS degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences, Business, or similar.
  • 5 years of experience in presales, post-sales, or product development with expertise in hardware, software, Utility, Telecommunications, and Energy storage.


  • Apply comprehension of sales requests, integration needs, and reporting analytics to review complex projects. Translate Statements of Work (SOW) to the team.
  • Translate customer requirements into existing solutions, identifying equipment, vendors, etc.
  • Attend sales meetings as a presales and technical expert.
  • Identify business needs and additional products for completing sales pitches.
  • Participate in various meetings and events to educate internal and public stakeholders.
  • Engage in sales pitches with customers and prospects, representing the software and hardware in technical Q&A.
  • Collaborate with sales staff after closing deals to identify upsell opportunities and increase revenue.
  • Assist Sales in networking with potential customers and partners.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competition, and emerging technologies to effectively position offerings in the market.
  • Collaborate with other teams to develop content, including talking points and research for panel positions.
  • Review and prepare written presentations, case studies, and documentation for sales and marketing support from a technical perspective.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A passion for excellence in professional presales, a “can-do” attitude
  • Demonstrated ability and understanding of short-term and long-term sales plans, with multitasking abilities in multi-market sales pitches.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a start-up, high-pressure environment to meet deadlines.
  • Capable of working independently and managing efficiently.
  • Target-oriented.
