Your Accountabilities:

  • You will direct commercial initiatives throughout Europe.
  • You will be responsible for creating major project concepts (between 100MW and 1GW) with clients and partners and setting up the infrastructure and resources necessary to make these megaprojects successful.
  • You will likely be employed by huge industrial projects that are centered on the production, distribution, and integration of renewable hydrogen into the value chain for the final consumer.
  • You may work on projects ranging from preliminary to in-depth technical and economic feasibility studies, along with the complicated licencing applications, financing, structure, and grant funding stages that go along with the customer experience.
  • You will suggest to the Sales Vice President and the extended teams the overall project strategy, timetable, deliverables, and proposal approach to effectively acquire such significant contracts, with the assistance of the internal organisation and/or external consultants.
  • You will coordinate the creation of the required documents for internal review and documentation with the interdisciplinary project team and the corporate review team. Advanced Notices, Investment Notes and associated memos, country and strategy notes as necessary, risk matrixes and assumptions books as necessary, and different applicable reports.
  • You will advocate us as a supplier of eco-friendly hydrogen solutions. You will suggest, participate in, and host workshops with various commercial opportunities at various pertinent conferences, including as a speaker or panellist.

Your Profile:

  • You have an engineering, finance, or economics degree and have demonstrated technical, financial, and commercial competence in big industrial energy projects, preferably in the fields of renewable energy and industrial gases.
  • You are a creative businessperson, a sincere networker, and naturally inquiring.
  • You are adaptable, imaginative, creative, and able to push the envelope. You are also able to think outside the box when it comes to the many internal and external parties involved.
  • You have a genuine knack for solving problems, are goal-oriented, optimistic, and possess a tonne of tenacity and energy.
  • Your strong leadership abilities enable you to complete a project from beginning to end while collaborating with other departments and outside stakeholders.
  • You have a significant amount of operational expertise in business development, including direct customer and government relations.
  • You have at least ten years of professional experience in the energy and hydrogen industries.
  • You are fluent in English and welcome to use other languages, such as German, Dutch, Norwegian, Spanish, Danish, and Swedish.
