Key actor in the energy transition in Belgium, Eoly Energy’s teams develop and manage onshore wind parks in Belgium. Together with its sister company Eurowatt in France, Eoly manages all onshore wind activities of their main shareholder Virya Energy Group. Strong with about 25 years of experience, Eoly Energy operates more than 50MW of onshore capacity across Belgium. Eoly Energy also manages the Eoly Cooperative, allowing residents to participate in the decision-making process and to have ownership in the project. Since joining forces with Eurowatt in 2023, Eoly is supporting the company’s rapid international growth. Eurowatt has about 30 years of experience in the renewable energy generation sector in Europe, with 350MW worth of projects and operations in Poland, Portugal, Spain, and France. Together the two companies have ambitious plans to develop onshore wind projects steadily contributing towards the transition to net zero. With Eoly Energy, Eurowatt, and its other entities, Virya Energy Group is active along the entire sustainable energy value chain, from generation to distribution. Other activities include storage, sustainable hydrogen generation, and services to industries active in the sustainable transition. Virya Energy currently has over 1GW of installed green energy production capacity, mainly in wind power. Virya Energy creates scale and facilitates the exchange of knowledge amongst the entities of the group. The company was created in 2018 as the renewable energy subsidiary of Colruyt Group and Korys (the investment fund of the Belgian Colruyt family).
Your role
As a young and ambitious company, working in the development and production of sustainable energy, we at Eoly Energy are looking for an energetic new colleague. For our production team, we are recruiting a study engineer who will work towards the production of 100% green energy, focusing on Wind Energy
As a study engineer within our production team, your goal is to contribute to our green mission through the following tasks:
- You carry-out technical studies that underpin the development of our production park;
- You carry out feasibility studies (working with lots of data);
- You manage the relationships with external study agencies;
- You help prepare investment decisions by making yield calculations and determining the financial feasibility;
- You provide technical support for the active production installations.
Job requirements
Your profile
- Master’s degree in civil or industrial engineering;
- You already worked as study engineer, can be both internal and external;
- You have market knowledge and/or you show great interest in the field;
- You have an analytical mindset and are not afraid to play with data;
- You are not afraid to challenge the status-quo and bring up innovative ideas;
- You are fluent in English and Dutch or French.
