The System Engineer is responsible for the specification of technical requirements, -drawings and documentation for non-standard customer solutions, ensuring a smooth manufacturing and assembly process and on-time-in-full delivery of orders in line with customer specifications and within agreed budgets. In this role you will act as linking pin between Technical, Commercial and Manufacturing functions providing deep technical expertise while also interacting directly with customers.

You will be responsible to:

  • Support Sales representatives during project acquisition, preparation of offers and technical advice to customers; proactively advise on technical aspects, opportunities, possibilities and limitations during the sales process and discussion with customers.
  • Create project documentation such as technical drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications. Ensure designs are cost-efficient and in line with the client’s quality standards and best engineering practices.
  • Check technical implementation options of inquiries and tenders in consultation with R&D and Application Engineering and advice commercial departments on contractual conditions; Assess technical- and related commercial project risks.
  • Support the development of system solutions and their technical specifications in the area of AC grid connection of storage and electrolysis systems (MV / LV switchgear, transformers, outdoor solutions).
  • Collaborate with R&D to ensure progressing insights in customer needs are integrated in future product developments.
  • Obtain, evaluate and coordinate offers from external suppliers of complementary systems (transformers, switchgears, cooling….)
  • Coordinate ongoing projects and represent the company towards customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Maintain an up-to-date and reliable administration and efficient use of professional tools; ensure availability of project documentation within the broader company.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor/Master degree Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology or equivalent.
  • Solid understanding and experience working with EPLAN / EPLAN Pro Panel.
  • Experience in international sales and project management.
  • Passion for renewable energy solutions (hydrogen, battery storage).
  • Excellent negotiation and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills combined with a confident demeanour.
  • A high level of commitment, personal responsibility, and customer-orientation.
  • Fluent in German language and business proficiency in English language required.
