OMV Petrom confirmed on 22 May that it received funding for construction of renewable hydrogen production at its Petrobrazi oil refinery located in southern Romania.
The project will use the €39million funding from the National Plan for Recovery and Resilience (NPRR) for the construction of an electrolyser, with the total investment at the facility estimated at €74million.
The NRRP allocates funding through the European Union via the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) which entered into force in February 2021.
