17 April 2024RWE, a prominent electricity generator in the UK and a key player in the renewable energy sector, has joined forces with Haltermann Carless, a leading provider of hydrocarbon-based products and solvents. Together, they have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the development of a green hydrogen plant in Harwich, located in Essex, southeastern UK.
The proposed plant is set to be erected on land within the Haltermann Carless industrial site, which serves as a pivotal production hub for various products catering to Agrochemicals and Fuel Additives sectors. Haltermann Carless Harwich is committed to fostering sustainable practices, actively contributing to greenhouse gas emissions reduction. This commitment extends to future endeavors such as the production of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) from the Harwich site.
