11 January 2024ZeroAvia and ScottishPower have signed an agreement to collaborate on establishing low-carbon hydrogen supply to key airports.
The supply will support the decarbonisation of the aviation sector, with the companies also expected to explore clean power requirements and hydrogen production infrastructure for potential future ZeroAvia sites within ScottishPower’s distribution network.
ScottishPower’s energy generation operations are 100% renewable and powered by its UK wind farms. The company also offers retail and business customers wholly clean energy on green tariffs.
ZeroAvia recently signed a 70-engine agreement with Ecojet – headquartered in Scotland – and has longstanding partnerships with AGS Airports, such as Glasgow and Aberdeen, to explore the hydrogen infrastructure requirements for airports to support clean aviation and other potential use cases.
